Mid-Morning Welcome by Assemblymember Dr. Shirley Weber

This keynote will provide a conceptual framework to explain how co-teaching forwards access in the general education curriculum for ALL students. Participants become familiar with the 4 approaches to co-teaching and learn about the benefits and cautions when applying each approach. In addition, scheduling, role clarification, administrative support, lesson planning, and other logistical issues are explored. Participants are provided with tools to assist in establishing trust, facilitating communication and coordination of effort, and making efficient use of available planning time.
